Project Overview

Jing'an Optoelectronics was founded in October 2011 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanan Optoelectronics. It focuses on the R&D, production and sales of semiconductor electronic materials and lighting products. The company’s sapphire substrate output has ranked first in China for consecutive years, with its market share staying among the world’s top tier over the same period.

Focused on independent R&D and technological process innovation, Jing'an Optoelectronics has obtained 71 authorized invention patents and 126 utility model patents in total. The company actively promotes and participates in the formulation of international industrial standards. It maintains close collaboration with its parent company’s platforms including the National Enterprise Technology Center and Postdoctoral Research Workstation to jointly conduct technical development of various new crystal materials. Two projects co-developed with Sanan Optoelectronics, namely Key Technologies of GaN-based Ultraviolet and Deep Ultraviolet LEDs and Key Technologies & Industrialization of High-efficiency and Long-lifespan Semiconductor Lighting, won the Second Prize and First Prize of the National Award for Science and Technology Progress in 2015 and 2019 respectively.
